NCC/NSS/YRC

Sarada Vilas College has NCC, NSS and YRC units focused towards providing leadership, communication and commitment values to enrich the quality of students while fostering educational goals of the institution. These units conduct many extension activities and outreach programs.

NCC (National Cadets Corps)

The NCC have aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service among young citizens. It aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life.The NCC Unit conducted awareness programs on Environmental issues, Covid Vaccination, Swaccha Bharath Rally, National Science day, Law awareness, Impact of food crop storage and Pathogens on human health programs during the assessment period.

It also organized and participated in Blood Grouping and Blood Donation Camps, Covid war room activity with District Commissioners office to create awareness on Blood transfusion and Control of Covid 19.

NSS (National Service Scheme)

The National Service Scheme is a central sector scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. It provides opportunities to students of technical institutions, graduate and postgraduate colleges and universities of India to take part in various government led community service activities and programs.

Our college has taken the initiative to adopt the Kellahalli village of Mysore district, situated about 20 km from the institution under the Amrita Community development scheme of Government of Karnataka.

The NSS Unit celebrated NSS day, National Youth Day, International Women’s Day, World Water Day, World Environment Day, World AIDS Day, Anti-tobacco Day to educate and create awareness in students. NSS Unit also organized programs such as ‘Cleaning of Campus’, ‘Swaccha Bharath’, ‘Law awareness and Support’ for students.

YRC (Youth Red Cross)

Youth Red Cross is a platform where youth can use their talent, skills, knowledge and ability for the welfare of the people. Youth Red Cross has the following three principles;

  • Protection of health and life.
  • Service to the sick and suffering.
  • Promotion of national and international friendship, to develop the mental and moral capacity of the youth.

Youth Red Cross Organized Blood Grouping and Blood Donation camp, a Special lecture on Digital banking, awareness on campus cleaning, Covid Vaccination Drive and Celebration of World Environment Day.

The NSS Unit , NCC Unit, YRC Unit Organized International Biodiversity Day and World Environment Day in association with Department of Botany and Department of Zoology to create awareness of protecting our Environment.

Our Institution also contributed in the form of cash to the Covid Relief Fund and Flood Relief Fund.
